30th June 1813. Ship completed.
9th August 1813. Arrived at Yarmouth.
28th August 1813. Sailed from Deal for Portsmouth.
29th August 1813. Arrived at Portsmouth.
2nd September 1813. Appointed convoy for the North coast of Spain.
9th September 1813. Sailed from Portsmouth with a convoy of transports with troops for Santander and Bilboa.
14th September 1813. Arrived at Falmouth with the convoy of transports from Portsmouth.
25th November 1813. ‘Eurotas’ sent six of her 24-pounders on board, and received in exchange the same number of her guns.
8th January 1814. Recaptured the English ship ‘Rachael and Ann’, of 14 guns, 226 tons, and 20 men. She had been sailing from Buenos Ayres for London.
5th February 1814. Met up with the ‘Eurotas’ and received back her six 24-pounders and returned the six belonging to her.
4th March 1814. With the ‘Pomone’ captured a U.S. privateer, the 14 gun brig ‘Bunker’s Hill’, with 86 men.
14th December 1814. Battle of Lake Borgne. The British captured or destroyed almost the entire American force, including the tender, USS ‘Alligator’, and five gunboats. The British lost 17 men killed and 77 wounded; ‘Cydnus’ had four men wounded.
18th January 1815. After the Battle of Fort Bowyer, Captain the Hon. William Henry Percy faced a court martial on board the ‘Cygnus’ for the loss of his vessel, ‘Hermes’, during his unsuccessful attack off Cat Island, Mississippi in September 1814. The court acquitted him.
February 1816. Broken up at Portsmouth.
1821. The survivors of the Battle of Lake Borgne shared in the distribution of the head-money arising from the capture of the American gun-boats and sundry bales of cotton.
